"In today's multi-platform world, cooperation between different operating systems is a necessity, as is cooperation through the ""cloud"".
MindManager has been a trailblazer here in some respects, but has not gone the whole way. Making all features available in the Mac version would help cooperation in big firms and academia greatly!"

"Much to my disappointment, MJ has continued to either ignore or simply failed to develop parity with Windows. Those of us on the MM Mac 8 beta voiced this years ago. However, let me punctuate the subtle costs: I recently demo'd the concept of mind-mapping to two key executives of a 15,000 member organization. They loved it and immediately asked about acquiring licenses. The company uses PCs much to their consternation since they both used Mac iPads, iPhones, and MacBooks at home. It is at home that they get most of their ""real"" work done. When I explained the shortcomings in MM for Mac vs PC, they then immediately asked about other MM programs with parity. There are a few seemingly minor features essential to collaborative work in the PC version like the Review Comments which negate the need for email to collect feedback and comments on issues. This small feature is a HUGE time saver. I agree with Andreas, if you are going to embrace the cloud, the versions must have parity in all features." [from Sylven 'Brady' Reed]

"I absolutely agree. And, I suggest a hybrid software or at least a flexible license so that we can install MM on a Mac and a PC, instead of only 2 Macs or 2 PCs." [from mentalwaves]

I hope 10 brings the simple function, available in Windows MM forever, of being able to create a linked child map from a branch. Every other mindmapping program for Mac does this; MindManager Windows does it. Why ignore this essential function in the Mac version? I have been lamenting this lack, vociferously, to MJet for years, since having to convert to Mac in my office in 2008.

And export to Excel would be nice! I see it is there in MMWindows, but can't find it in my recent upgrade to 9.5.416! (Why is MMMac such a Cinderella?)

By the way, ksnyde asked: "Why is there no keyboard shortcut to bring up the Text/Notes window? That has been around forever in Windows and is highly useful." The keyboard shortcut has been around in the Mac version and fortunately still exists in 9.5.416 (my latest version): Command Option N toggles notes window on & off. It also, handily, puts your cursor after the last point in your last entry, and I hope hope hope that they never accidentally drop that habit! I use it umpteen times a day!

Dear Mindjet,

you ask me today to renew my license for Mindjet Mac.
I ask you; when will you give us all the features that Windows users are currently using, and are paying the same money for.

Regards

Tony
