Hover shows "undefined" for some notes

I am using Mindjet MindManager 2017 to create a resource map. All of a sudden, when we hover over some of the note icons, instead of displaying a preview of the information contained, it just says "undefined."

I've updated the map and had a new version uploaded to our intranet set, (Wordpress platform), but it did not fix the issue.I have no idea what to try next - help, please!

Are you uploading a MindManager file or an export (e.g. web or PDF) from the source file?

We're uploading a web export. It's never been a problem until just recently, though!

Which web export template did you use and which browser are you using?

I believe it's just an org chart template (I "inherited" the original), and I'm just hitting "share" and "export as HTML5 interactive map."

I'm using Chrome, but most of my colleagues are using IE. It happens on all browsers, including Firefox.

This is strange.
You are using MM2017 and the same procedure toe place your webexport in/on your Wordpress intranet site. And suddenly it behaves different?

Have you implemented an update for MM2017 recently? If not, the issue must be caused by some other reason.
What has changed recently? E.G. Did someone update Wordpress or any Plugin?
Have you changed browser version?
Do you have other security software installed?

etc.

I haven't updated MM.

I'll have to check with IT regarding updates/plugins: I don't have the permissions to upload it to the Wordpress site.

I haven't changed browser versions, and since there are 3 different browsers being used in the office, all with the same issue, I don't know that the browser is the issue - it even happens when I check from my computer at home.

IT has other security software installed, but it's the same that was in place when we started using this map over a year ago.

I've also just discovered that half the (Mindjet) icons aren't showing up in IE:

Part of this might be related to the use of MindManager 2017. For example, there were some issues with the icons in the HTML5-export of MindManager 2017 and these have been fixed in newer versions of the HTML5-export template: https://community.mindjet.com/mindjet/topics/html5-export-missing-icons

Newer versions of MindManager will automatically update the HTML5-export template each time you start an export. It might be worth to check if you're on the latest version of MindManager 2017, which should be version 17.2.208

Or even better, I think your company have more than one license,
so probably you use the MindManager Enterprise edition,
That comes with an obligated maintenance agreement.
And that allows you to get the latest version at all times.

So please check with your IT dept if they can provide you with MindManager 2018 the latest version.

And even if you are one of a few lucky MindManager users in your organisation,
Ask for the upgrade.
It wil cost a lot less than you already spent on this issue alone ;-)

I'm fairly certain I'm the only one! I'm very grateful to be able to use it! :)

There is One other option that might help. But I expect you already tried it ;-)

Do the -old repair trick-

On your windows computer, go to Configuration, => software => Dependant on the OS you may need,to select "remove software" scroll down to select MIndManager 2017 => select repair and wait until it is done.

Check if the problem still exists.

NOTE it is always wise to note your license key Go to File =>Help for the key info

I didn't think to do this, actually! *face palm*

I will try this, though: I was able to get my version upgraded already, which did fix the missing icon issue, but some of the preview bubbles are still showing "undefined."

Thanks so much!

Good for you. Maybe you have to re-export to html5 and  post in your Wordpress intranetsite for those maps that still have the issue.

I did re-export and saved as new through 2018, but it didn't fix the issue. At the end of the day, I'm a little less concerned with this since the notepad icon signifies there is additional information available (some staff being bothered by the hover not being available is a little lazy, IM(not so)HO... ;) ).
