However for the most important images this will work:
You could open a map, select a picture that is inside a topic, click right and select save image.
That way you can recreate your library of images and make them available through the Package Folder function. I am sure you are familiar with that function?
Your suggestion works with the images, but I have more icons than images in the maps, and if you right click an icon, there isn't the option to save it. One solution is to make a topic in the maps, and put there all icons and images of the map. Then I can copy the topic and paste in a new map. The images and icons will then be available in the index.
Maybe this is an improvement for the next versions of Mindmanager. The possibility of saving every icon and images in the map to the library.
- Create a parent map.
- Link all the maps that have unique icons in them to it. (Drag and drop from File Explorer)
- View - Linked Maps - Combine All
- Design - Template Organiser - Marker Lists - Add New Marker List - From Current Map
Try it with 2 or 3 maps.
It works! Making new marker lists and using them!
I am finishing some studies, and in the next days will be starting a deep study of Mindmanager. It's a wonderful program with so many possibilities and to use them all you need to know them thoroughly. It's a well spent time.
Copy the combined parent map file and change the extension to .zip
Extract the zip folder.
Open the ico subfolder.
Change the File Explorer view to one of the larger icon views
Hopefully you will see your custom icons.
Rename the files and copy them to your Library Icon folder.
I suggest copying them to a folder in your user directorys and using the Options - Package Folder to map them to your Library
