How can I save a file I've opened from email attachment?

On my HTC One (Android) phone, when I open a file (in this case an xmind file) that is attached to an email I have received, the file opens automatically into Mindjet (which is great). However, if I make changes to the file, I cannot figure out how to save the changed file so I can re-access it later. When I exit out of the map, the new map does not show up in the list of files in Mindjet. It essentially disappears. There is no way to go back into the changed map. Reopening from the email attachment, obviously just opens the original file.

I know that the revised file does exist on the SD card. If I use a file manager I can find it in /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.thinkingspace/cache/tmp. But this is a very inconvenient way to access the file.

How can I get the file to show up in the list of files shown in Mindjet itself?
