Hi, In the MAP INDEX tab, under Markers, Resources, I created a list of people resources from my organization by department. I would like to be able to have those Marker resources available in all my new Maps. How do I do this? Thanks!

In Template Organiser Marker List Add a Marker list from Current Map - name it 'Resources'.  Then modify your Default Map Template and apply the Resource Marker List

Yes! this way I can apply to any new map when needed. Thanks.

But there is not categorization of resources needed: I would like to have the list of resources (name of employees)  by department (Marketing, Sales,..)

You can define map markers in template maps, so that they are always in new maps. Open a map containing the map markers, clean out any topics you do not need, save it as a new copy,  then go to Design tab > Template Organizer > Map Templates > Add New Map Template > From Current Map.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. I created a new template with the list of the employees on my organization as resources marker. It works.

But I have to choose always this template (to have my resources of employees) or update every single one template. 1) My list of resources is not transferable to another map. 2) I can not categorize by department (marketing, sales,...)

1. Your resources are transferable to any map - in any map GoTo>Design>Template Organizer>Marker Lists and Apply the 'Resources List to the current Map 2. You can create an Index Tag Group of 'Departments' and apply that marker to Topics Map in addition to the Resource - 'Resources' is a Unique Tag Grouping

Thanks for the answer. For 2) I created the 2 Marker groups (Employees, Department). I don't understand how you link the 2. The link between the 2 groups is fixed (people don't change department that often and I don't want to click twice (once for Employees, once for Department).

It depends whether you want to use the Resources for task planning. If you use tasks, then there is only one resources group that works with tasks. But if you do not use MindManager's task planning features, then you could use Tag markers instead. You can have multiple groups of tags, so you could have a group for Sales, a group for Marketing and so on. MindManager will show the group name and the tag name together in the map, e.g. "Sales: Colin Horner".

Good point Nick  - I was thinking only of the use of Resources for Task planning & BTW I'm honoured that you have put me in your Sales Team although it's tough out there trying to sell!
