How to address items in a Property List for a macro?

I am considering a map whereby a visible Property is not defiined as a numerical value but is set from a pre-defined List: i.e. Property is 'Status', with two dropdown List choices 'Go' and 'No Go'.

The macro would solve for a conditional numerical value, which seems pretty straightforward to code. Then, according to a defined threshold, the macro would pick and display in the Property output cell the requisite List item from the pre-defined alternatives (i.e. 'Status': 'Go' or 'Status': 'No Go'). The Property with its List would be created and distributed around the map in the usual way, without macro assistance (for multi-copy-and-paste efficiency I'm using Olympic's MAP Add-in which I have used for a while and is really helpful).

Is anyone very kindly able to assist with the code expression to address/display a particular Property List item (being a string/non-numerical)?

I've got as far as tracking down 'CustomPropertyFormat' and 'GetCustomPropertyValue', but that's clearly not the whole story ...

Many thanks!

Best wishes,
