Is there any way to clear the "Recent Files" listing when opening a new file?  I have several test mind maps that I used for learning purposes, and I've deleted them.  But they still show up in the "Recent Files" listing.

Recent files are listed in the registry under the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mindjet\MindManager\16\RecentFileList

Hi Ashok,

After deleting the files, you can try clicking on the name of the Map in the Recent Files list and if the file doesn't exist, it will be removed from the list. In order to increase the startup performance of MindManager, we do not check if all recent files still exist at launch.

I don't think you need to hack the registry.

File - Options - General - Set recently used files list to 1. It won't go to zero.

But as an extension to Nigel's suggestion.

Set the recently used file list to 1 or 0 by hacking the registry.
Save the key to your desktop.
Whenever you want to reset the list. Double click the key on your desktop.
