How to embed the HTML export file in Wordpress?

I want to embed the HTML export file in Wordpress. I cannot get to work. Not iframe, not an HTML player, not simply inserting the *.html file, ... nothing.
How to do this? I know I publish the file to the MindJet server and then embed that link, but that is not what I want; I want to embed my own, self-hosted file

It's a while since I've done this but I managed to get it to work with iframe on a self-hosted site (I don't think it's possible on a site hosted at Wordpress.com).

I thought it was a bit clunky to use, though admittedly this was not long after it was first introduced. The map appeared in a smallish window; if you tried to move around the window it was easy to lose sight of the map as there was a lot of white space around it.

This may or may not have improved in later versions but I find it much easier to work with HTML 5 files. You also have the advantage that you can update the HTML 5 file after editing the map without having to go through the whole embedding process again.
