When creating a new timeline via the File / New command sequence, you get a nice looking timeline.

When inserting a timeline into an existing mind map via the insert map parts capability, you do not really get even a timeline.

My question is as follows ... Is it possible to insert a timeline into an existing mind map that appears as an actual timeline?

Also, note that in one of the webinars, the presenter suggested that different types of topics were color coded. For example, a flowchart topic had a green boundary. This suggests that the types of topics could be selected. If this is true, then this would be a way to make a topic a timeline topic. Is this possible? If so, how?

OK. Figured it out. To insert a timeline into an existing map, insert a floating topic. Right click and select :Format Topic ..." Timeline is one of the options and it works as I would expect.

Now I am curious about flowcharts. But, I guess, that will be for another day.

Now, also, if someone else has something useful that I have missed, I would appreciate any comments in that regard.

Hi, You can insert a flowchart in the same way, create a floating topic in your map make sure it is selected then choose the flowchart layout from the layout menu.
