How can I link to Outlook items in a way that allows me to subsequently move them?

I am attempting to convert my GTD trusted system from using the Netcentric GTD Outlook Add-in to using MindManager/MindJet. I have been trying out gronix's ResultsManager with MindManager 9 for Windows and I like it.

Bringing in Outlook email messages is easy enough. However my employer purges emails after 45 days. If I'm not going to get to the task within 45 days or the email represents reference material, I usually move the message to a .pst file. Unfortunately doing so breaks the link in the map.

Does anyone have ideas on how to handle this situation?

I am also a user of PersonalBrain which has a great feature that allows you to either link to the message in Outlook or import a copy of the message that actually resides in the brain folder structure and is not dependent on the Exchange server. Is there a similar feature in MindManager?

If I'm correct, importing messages in Mindjet will create copies of the content of those e-mails so while the link might break after 45 days it still should show the contents of the e-mails in your map?

I would agree with Andrew and Mathieu on this - the email and attachments should be retained in MIndManager even if the link is broken, which means if course you can't use MM to find it in Outlook.

In MM2012 and MJ11 you can use Outlook queries to find emails but I seem to recall this didn't work with .pst files in MM9 - which I assume you're using because it works with ResultsManger.
