How can I view a relationship in iOS if one end is collapsed?

I'm using Mindjet to make notes for a security exam - it really fits my hierarchical approach to memory and study, and of course I can grow out each branch with further reading.

However - it seems that a relationship will only be displayed if BOTH ends are expanded to the nodes that are related. If one side is compressed (usually the case, since I collapse everything except the branch I'm working on), there is no indication whatsoever that it has relationships. This is pretty bad, as I then have no idea I had linked that node to notes under another.

Am I missing something, or is this genuinely the case? I know displaying all relationships could be hugely messy, but I'd expect at least a mark or corner on the node to indicate one exists, which I can then open to jump to...
