How do you turn a floating topic into a subtopic?

Let's say I name the Central Topic as Topic A. I then create three floating topics - call them B, C and D. I then decide that B, C and D are actually sub-topics of Topic A. I can see no way to do this. I see how to create a relationship between topics - that's easy - but there seems to be no way to create a hierarchical relationship, such that B becomes a sub-topic of A.

Furthermore, when I create a relationship between Topic A and B, clicking on Topic A first, the floating topic does not appear in Outline View - so clearly B has not been defined as a sub-topic in the system.

This would seem to be a very basic procedure, but there seems to be no way to do it. Simply creating a relationship does not establish one topic as a sub-topic of another. What is the solution? Thanks.

Which product are you using? In MindManager for Windows, you can just drag a floating topic near to a prospective parent topic until the red preview shadow shows that it will connect if dropped there.
