How to create a combined boundary for a subset of subtopics

When we create boundary it is applied to ALL the subtopics of that topic,

In below screenshot , Is there a way TO
-> have subtopic 3, 4 and 5 under one boundary without creating a 'blank' parent for them first
-> make 'Floating topic 1' as subtopic to All three "subtopic 3 , 4 and 5"

(also what do we mean by saying a 'blank parent' - do we mean create parent and then write 'single space' inside it)

The only way to do that - in my experience - is
to use the blank topic as the parent for 3,4,5
That gives yo another option: You can use the "bracket" boundary that shows up at the other side AND you can connect the floating topic to that.

However, although I accept and appreciate that you spent a lot of time on the layout of the maps, bear in mind that MindManager is used most in Business and Government organisations, where the functionality of the product provide many more benefits, than can ever be achieved by a layout issue (in my humble opinion ;-)

Thanks ARY

and yes except the good functionality, in my view, it is also the extended help that seasoned users are eager to offer in discussions which makes mindmanager such a popular choice over others.

could you also please have some say about below two things ,

what do we mean by saying a 'blank parent' - do we mean creating a parent and then write 'single space' inside it and is there something like DUMMY parent also which can be created with lesser effort by some OHTER way (instead of first creating and then typing space inside it)

In the mind map above (in first post) -
How can we make 'Floating topic 1' as subtopic to All three topics "subtopic 3 , 4 and 5" (someone told in the forum that it can be done but kept silence on how to do it)

Yes. create a (sub)topic and put a space in it and next add subtopics to that parent is the only wy I know of in MindManager. This will cost you 3 seconds of your valuable time each time  you may use this (not very often in my opinion ;-)

To your second question:

As you have seen in the image above, it is done by using the brackets boundary
You can add a callout to asuch a boundary that acts as a subtopic.
With this you can either rename that callout / subtopic with teh name of your floating topic or connect your floating topic to he call out as you are used to do.

Once you have connected a floating topic to some other topic it is not floating anymore ofcourse.
