Hyperlinks to local files...ad nauseum

Why in the world would Mindjet create a piece of software like Mindmanager, which is incredibly full-featured, yet leave out the ability to publish (export) a map for others to use that does not support linking to local files???!!?!!?!
This makes NO SENSE whatsoever!
I am trying to convince the president of my company to consolidate the visual thinking apps we use to one common platform, which I would like Mindmanager to be, but this is very nearly a fatal flaw.

If I understand you correctly, you need an export of Mindjet in a format that supports hyperlinks to local files? Could you please describe what kind of export you are referring to? PDF, HTML, SWF?

Hi Scott, might it be possible, that you had in mind publishing in Mindjet viewer format?

Sorry; I lost track of this post... Specifically, at the time, I was talking about exporting to PDF with links to documents maintained. I have since learned that an install of the free Mindmanager trial converts to a de facto viewer, so this is less of an issue.
