Glad to learn I am not the only one. I use windows 7 and have reported the issue and still waiting for response.  My "work around", which makes no sense is to save the map with a new name and that works fine. BUT this means links in other maps need change.
Issue surfaced about a week after 2017 installed.

Could be related to some other software being installed on the system, see here: https://community.mindjet.com/mindjet/topics/mindmanager-for-mac-fails-to-save-files-internal-error-...

Curious - have tried saving your maps without a space in the file name.  Example instead of
"lean dag1.mmap" try "lean_dag1.mmap"

Removing spaces in files names works best for me. I use underscores for the spaces.

Getting fed up with this issue on MANY of my maps. When the error occurs,
1. save the map to a new name
2. delete the old map (which could not be saved)
3. rename the "saved" map to the original name
4. Life is good. Can update and save with this technique.
5. Sometimes after a few "saves" I get the message again and follow steps 1-3.

I found the solution....

just click the map file, and click cmd + I to show the property.
In the open with menu make sure mindmanager is selected,
click change all.
