I have the option "Reopen last open local maps on startup" enabled but it doesn't

I had a set of maps all saved and then I closed MindManager. They did not reopen on startup.

I open a single map and saved it. Closed MindManager and reopened. The map was not opened for me.

Any ETA on the fix?
Please note,...this is very annoying as I have to re open all the maps after a relaunch of the MM program. I am hoping that this is filed under High Priority.

In another thread a Mindjet rep stated it would be dealt with in version 1 release in a months time.


I said "For something that has worked everyday for the last ten years, that is long time to fix it." :(

that "month" has been going on now for more than 65 days, still no update. I'm kinda getting a bit impatient with the Mindjet-team.

Totally Annoying!!!

As a result of this defect, this version of software is pretty useless, as I work with an average of 9+ maps open at the same time and it is a pain to reopen all of them. I contacted MindJet and demanded a partial refund as this version is pretty useless for me (Date of purchase 11/2015).

This was their response:

"Thank you for contacting Mindjet Support. I was able to receive an update from team here at Mindjet. The reopen map bug has been resolved in our next update. As for when we are launching this updating, we still don't have a concrete date as we are working out other bugs with the software. 

I remember you asked for a possible partial refund and I have discussed this with my Manager. Unfortunately we would not be able to process this refund.

We appreciate your patience as we try to release this update as soon as possible.

Best regards,"


Been with MindJet for many years, but now thinking of switching to their competitors such as: iMindMap or XMind.

Note to MindJet Product Management: "Listen to your customers, or you wont have any."

I'm posting here to le the team know they have another unhappy customer.  I've been with Mindjet since I can't remember when.  Guys please get this one resolved.  In the mean time I will be using the previous version anxiously awaiting resolution of this issue.

Very disappointing...as
General Availability for Mindjet MindManager 2016 for Windows
was 15-Oct 2015!!! that is 109 days in ~2 hrs (PST).

(Typically, this type of "core functionality" sw bugs should be caught at pre release QA and/or via some automated user test script)

Agreed with comments and frustrations.  I just upgraded...find the lack of presenting files opened is surprising and taking this long to fix is disturbing.  Considering go back to earlier version.  I am interested in why the problem and so long to fix.

Over the years I have found this a great application...but also one that could be much more in terms of integrating with other products, client platforms, etc.  Running into problems like this tend to suggest to me you all have difficulty on keeping your ship floating...so I hold back on ideas that likely would help your business and my use of Mindjet.  Implications of this list is more important than you all recognize...

MindManager 2016 SP1 will be available soon (this month) and this issue is addressed in the update. There are also some key improvements and several other bug fixes in MindManager 2016 SP1 as well.

Thank you very much for the bug fix. with that said, your Update Links functionality is now broken...at least for me, pressing on the Yes and No buttons to update file links is not working

Update Links option worked for me for all the linked documents.
Since I am unable to replicate the issue, I would recommend opening a ticket with support team.

Steps to reproduce for me were:
1. open multiple maps; some maps have links to other files and maps
2. close app
3. rename folder with opened maps
4. reopen app
5. Error observed

If this still works with you, then some day I will contact your support to help you guys find your bugs.
