Maps created in windows loose info when opened in the Mac version.
If I open the map in windows again the images are visible.
This is a compatibility issue.

When will it be solved?

Hi Ary,

Thank you for your post.

Please provide the following details:

1. What type of images are you adding to MindManager for Windows (i.e JPG, PNG, etc)?
2. How are you adding the Images? Are they stored in the Topic or in Topic Notes?
3. When you say you lost info, do you mean you are just not seeing it or is the content lost when re-opening the Map in MindManager for Windows?
4. Which versions of MindManager are you using on both platforms?

The info was provided by a potential new user who downloaded the latest mac version to read a map created by MM for windows. (i assume version 14 of 2012)
I don't know the type of images
The images were already in the map coming from the windows version
The images are still there if opened in the windows version so they are not lost, but cannot be seen in the mac version.

This is definitely a long-standing problem that we're facing here. Our CEO, Scott Raskin, addressed this question in the most recent issue of Using Mind Maps magazine which you can access here:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/using-mind-maps/id639212577?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

Here's the relevant part of the story...
Q: Now for a tougher question: though the MindManager user base isin the millions, there is a divide between your Mac and Windows
products. Any plans to reconcile that disparity in the future?

SR: There is indeed a difference, but its one we plan to close over time. We have
a new Mac release coming this year, and it will bring many of the most recent
innovations in the Windows product to our Mac users. We’re also investing in a
new universal mapping canvas that will work on all our platforms. We’re working
hard, with the canvas, to innovate the mapping experience for all our customers
no matter what operating system or platform they’re on.
