I have a directory hierarchy on a file file server that I would like to use as my basic Map structure. It contains approx. 220 directories, so manually typing over seems a bit boring. Is it possible to import the directory structure ?

I found an answer on google dating 2006 but was not able to reproduce it. Go easy on me. This is one of the first things I try to accomplish in 2012

No need to type. You can drag and drop folders (and files) from Windows Explorer on to a map. You multiple select drag and drop as well.

But for your purposes use the Map Part > File Explorer to add existing folders (and sub-folders I think) and/or files to a map.
