Incompatibility w/High Res Screens

I was very disappointed that Mindjet didn't improve support for high-resolution monitors in the new release. Higher resolution screens are becoming much more commonplace, and to be completely honest, the resolution for the task panes is practically unusable. Previous support responses have been that "Mindmanager is optimized for 1920X1080". Not a good answer - who wants to keep switching resolution every time they switch applications? Ugh...

Michael,

Is this the only Task Pane that has a problem on the higher resolution?

Me too - high-end business laptops run at 3200 resolution... i get MM16 not supporting it... but come on MM17 should. This is a high-end business application which rewards screen space - no excuse for not correcting it in MM17.

It's sprinkled throughout the interface - see comment below on the CSV settings. I also noticed Icon rendering is really tiny...

It also shows when trying to use the CSV export... the buttons are missing.

Thanks so much for starting this topic! I dont understand why Mindjet isnt testing out their software on state of the art devices with highres displays. One shouldnt ignore devices like Microsoft Surface Pro if you build productivity software. MM 2017 just doesn't play nicely at all with these devices. Just try it and feel the pain of your customers...

!00% Agree!!! It is unbelievable that another year goes bye and this is still an issue. Subscription software should not be a customer paid beta program. Test and get feedback and then publish acknowledgement of problems and ensure customers when you hope to get this fixed. A mindmap focusing on ways to ensure a solid product would go further to sell more product than using subscription to "milk" customers of more money. Loyalty would also be enhanced. I would support a company/product that engaged and demonstrated that it was addressing issues (honestly) even when the inevitable problem arises. As the years have gone bye I have become more active in looking for alternatives to MM.

BTW this continuing hires problem is also affecting add-ins. At least these one of these developers is attempting to find solutions.

Stop fighting the changing windows/computer model - accept and adapt and fix!!!! Honestly!!!

Agree with Renaldo... the interface can be almost unusable if you happen to have a high resolution!

Most maddening is how it kills tabs... some items adapt but the important ones like tabs don't

I can say that for the features I use, MM 2018 has resolved the high res issues.  The only thing I wasn't happy about with MM 2018 was the elimination of the "My Maps" feature.  You can sort of get around it by using the open recent capabilities and pinning maps there, but I preferred the My Maps feature.

Michael,

File->Options->General

You should see an option to turn the My Maps Taskpane back on.
