I’m using Mindmanager 10.6.125 for MAC to develop a university
curriculum. I make extensive use of hyperlinks to link Map topics to associated PDF files (academic papers and articles) that are stored in an adjoining folder. I use the RELATIVE as opposed to ABSOLUTE hyperlink as I want to migrate the map and links by exporting it to HTML5 Map and folder structure to colleagues at a later date.
I find that when the mind manager file is saved, closed and reopened the hyperlinks are frequently broken and have to be “modified” and relinked one by one. I’ve also noticed that if the associated PDF file name is too long it causes the programme to crash.
As the hyperlinked documents are a key part of the functionality of the project I’m working on, this is causing me major problems. (It doesn’t seem to happen consistently but frequently enough to make it unworkable). Incidentally the Mind Maps and associated PDF files are stored on a Dropbox folder. Any idea as to what might be causing the hyperlinks to break?
