Instant filtering by entering search text

It would be great if there was a way to enter a search text for instant filtering of the mindmap.

An example:

I want to enter "Peter" into a filter text box (like the search box) and immediately see only those nodes of the mind map that contain "Peter" (in the node itself or its parents or children)

I know there is a way to do this via Quick Filters, but this requires 3 or more mouse-clicks, which is way too much.

See the filtering functionality in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager. This is exactly what I have in mind.

And also see the filtering functionality in Workflowy.

Hi Christian, I'm very  interested in your query. I think I understand the functionality you are asking for, however I don't understand your reference to Quick Filters in MindManager. Can you please elaborate and explain

Hi Colin, sorry I meant to write "Power Filters". They're not "quick" in terms of usability and that's where I see huge improvement potential :-)

Have you tried the search tab (its on the right hand side of your screen)
If I type Project I get all maps and nodes with the word project in it

Hi Ary, I didn't know that functionality. It at least allows for searching all nodes and displays all search results in one list. But there is no way to filter the map on the left using this search tab. The map still shows all the other nodes, which I don't want to see in that moment. It doesn't filter anything. And that's the functionality I am suggesting.

Why don't we simply add a button "Filter map based on search" to that search tab?
