Greetings!

It would be handy and smart to have the capability of inserting special characters, such as non-breaking space (NBSP) to topic text and notes.

You can use the Send to MindManager button in Word to send text with non-breaking spaces to a topic note in a map. The MAP add-in for MindManager also has a character map which lets you paste them into text in topic notes.

The method with the Character Map doesn't seem to be working. I call
Character Map, find NBSP character using its UTF-16 code (0x00A0), copy it to the Windows clipboard. However when I paste the clipboard contents to the topic's text, nothing happeтs --- no blank space appears between the words.

The Send to MindManager button in Word works perfectly. This means that in principle it is possible to have a NBSPs in the topic texts.
Now the question is: how does one insert a NBSP via Character Map?

Are you using the character map within the MAP add-in? This works fine for me, though every time I do it I seem to get an additional paragraph return inserted as well. This can be easily deleted, however.

I hope MM team will introduce a shortcut for NBSP similar to MS Word.
I like using Ctrl+Shift+Space to insert NBSP characters.
