Hello

Is there any quick way to create a hierachy in Concept Maps... e.g. using just the keyboard?

I want to be able just bang concepts in very quickly using just the keyboard and work out the relectionships between them later.

If I type text in and hit enter after each Concept, I get a horizontal line of boxes connnected by arrows. But Is there no way to enter a sort of multi-layered hierarchy?

To get clear what I am really wanting to freely create is a collection of thought maps of different layouts on the same map.. and without the rigidity of everything being forced into ONE hierarchy based on a single point (single node).

Cheers

I wonder if you could provide us with an example. -You can make that in Powerpoint or whatever you like.

Mindmaps have their hierarchy built in and should not be changed.
Concept maps are based on idea's and their relationships.

You can easily enter as many floating topics  as you want in a mindmap and decide how to organize them later on.
A floating topic can be made by... just click anywhere on your screen => enter and there you have it

Thanks. I'm now wondering if having multiple floating topics within one mindmap would do the job, if I change the Theme for floating topics.  I shall ponder and revert.

To get clear on my original request I wanted to just go something like:
Topic01  [enter key]  Topic02  [enter key]  Topic03  [enter key] topic04 [enter key]
==> And end up with a stack of topics which I could drag around and connect with  arrows afterwards.
Although it might of course be [tab] or [insert] or some key other then [Enter]!
It's the way that Scapple works if you've ever seen that.

Cheers
