Is there a way to set a global footer so I don't have to edit page layout for every Map?

Unfortunately, there is no way to do this with the templates in MindManager 2012 as they won't retain your print settings. However, you could create a map that includes your footer and then base all your future maps off this map.

Alternately, I would suggest making this an Idea on the community to be considered for a future release.

O Captain,

Are you referring to the Export to Web Page functionality?
If you can provide a screenshot of what you want to change I can look into this for you.

Thanks!

While we are on the subject of page setup, PDF export and printing, why can't I nget the {AUTHOR} field to appear in either the header or footer? The file name and date fields all appear, just not the author.

In testing this today, I found that the {AUTHOR} information is actually pulled from the document properties not the user information tab within File>Options. You can modify the default templates that you use and replace "Mindjet" with you own name in the Author field within the template document properties. Once you save this information into your template, every time you create a new map from this template you will be able to see your author information in the footer.
