Making Modifications in 'Resource:MindJet Tasks' name

Hi,

I have the task pane open, and under the Marker section I see 'Resources' and 'Resources:MindJet Tasks'.

I am able to delete, rename, or modify any of the 'resources'. But when I click on the names under 'resources:mindJet tasks' I am unable to make any changes to those names.

The person that was managing the map before me accidentally mispelt someone's name on the map so she currently has over 150 tasks under the wrong name and e-mail address that we'd like to straighten out. What is one quick way of making the changes without having to go into each individual task and removing one resource and adding the new name as a resource? Thanks!

PS- I'm the owner of this map and it is in MindJetFiles.

Thanks in advance!

I believe the user must correct their name in their Mindjet user profile in the online application. The name isn't editable because it is pulled in from the online database.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the prompt reply. When the user logged in under her e-mail address her profile showed the first and last name the same as my profile. However, on the map the mindjet resources still show up with her firstname_lastname@email.com address instead of her first and last name.
We checked on the desktop client under file-->Options--> User Information and the information there is accurate and the same as my account but it still doesn't show up properly.

What else can I try?

Is your task synchronized with Mindjet Tasks or is it a standalone local task? Could you reassign it to yourself and then back to her name to see if that changes it?

Hi Michael,

All of the tasks are standalone local tasks. I tried re-assigning some of the tasks to my name and then back to her, but the mindjet task resource still shows up the same.

Is there a way that I can assign all of the tasks to a new resource in a simple manner?
Similar to the replace all fuction in MS word but for resources?
This wouldn't fix the issue, but it would be good enough for us.

Thanks!

The Mindjet Task resources are not editable by the end user. If you're only assigning local tasks, why not use the local task resources which you can edit?

Hi Michael,

The previous user had assigned the list of tasks to the mindjet resource (firstname_lastname@email.com), and now we're looking to change it into a local resource. However, we were looking for a quick way of changing the resource assigned in 150+ different topics as opposed to changing them individually.

Could you not filter for all the instances using the power filter? That would select all the topics. Then, delete the incorrect Mindjet Task resource. Finally, add the correct local resource.
