It would be interesting to have a function for managing relationships as for the hyperlink

- Display of relations in the map => yes - no
- Category of the relationship: simple - complex 3 levels
- Index relations to the filtered without identifying with tooltips
- Export relations: MS Office, WEB, PDF

Hi Bruno,

There may be a couple of workarounds already, let me know if these help.

1. In the View tab, Detail group, select Show / Hide and uncheck relationships. The relationships will be hidden in the maps at this point. (settings are for all open maps).

2. Relationships can have a call out. Select the relationship and insert a callout. On the call out, you can remove the formatting so it appears invisible. (e.g. No fill color, no topic shape, put a space in the text). Now, you can add an icon marker or text tag to specify complexity). You can add other callouts to relationships and copy the formatting to quickly make the changes multiple times or setup a topic style to quickly adjust the formatting.

3. If you do step 2, the icons/tags will be listed in the Marker Index. They can also be filtered.

4. Once filtered, you could run the various exports to see if that satisfies your need.

Hope this helps.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for taking the time to answer me, I have already addressed the problem in introducing markers for filtered relations, this solution is difficult to manage for other users.

We use MindManager to manage a platform for knowledge management (management know-how and some projects), disseminate information is through export in web mode (html), the number of relationships is important more than 100 relationships manage.

When I mask these relationships can not be exported filter mode while web, or icons are exported easily filtered in web mode, as it should show all the relationships the map is totally polluted by these relationships and must be reset filters between business activity and project management or hidden all relationships, which is very contraigant.

I think a window for managing relationships will keep the graphic dynamism with the mastery of content as well otherwise all work with MS Project or other project management tool.

In conclusion, the relationship is the relationship between the topic, so it seems too complicated to use the fonctions  in management of links to fit relationship management functions, it is an idea as an alternative to increase the functionality of MindManager, I think is already an amazing tool. It would be possible to integrate this type of development in the next releases or versions.

I wish you a nice day ...
