Manually balancing the layout of maps

This is driving me nuts. I don't always want Mind Manager to dictate the way my maps are laid out. It REALLY is not at all user friendly.

This is one of the most frustrating problems with Mind Manager - and one that makes me regret having paid for the upgrade. Please, please, PLEASE could you persuade the product team to consider the possibilty that users are intelligent enough to be able to work out the layout of their maps on their own at times!!!

Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

Hi Vandy, understand your frustration. i have had the same issue sometimes, when i want to control the layout.
a couple of things that may help:
If you position the cursor on the dot/connector/point where the connecting line comes from the parent topic, you will get a "+" sign, hold down the left mouse button and drag and the topic will stay where you put it. (you will see the dot/connector will become solid rather than a hollow circle.
Second thing: if you hold down SHIFT and drag and drop a topic it will become a floating topic and you can put it where you want without it become "connected" to a main topic.
Not ideal, but it works...

i should have mentioned the first feature only works on main topics i think. Not on subtopics.
