Map files stored on Dropbox corrupted

A couple of maps I was working with on my iPad app got corrupted. The maps sort of came unstuck - map sub-topics disjointed from their respective topics and the mindjet app just froze. Now, these two files do not open either on my iPad or on the web. Is there a way to recover these?

By the way, the two corrupted files are saved on my dropbox and the rest of the (mindjet) files in the same folder are intact and unaffected.

Hi Arun,

Please open a ticket with our Technical Support team. They can assist in running an XML repair script on the files to correct any XML corruption that may exist. Please use the following link to create a ticket.

Hi Edward, Are you using the iPhone/IPad client? Any map that is not opening may have an issue with invalid XML which can be repaired. If you could please open a ticket using the following link, we would like to better understand the issue you are experiencing.

Terry:

Thank you for the reply. I am not using the iPhone or iPad client. I am using MindJet Version 10.0.211 on Mac OS X 10.8.4.

I filed a ticket using the link you provided in your reply about a month ago. I have not received a response from MindJet technical support. I get that there is a repair that needs to be made to the XML. How do I run this script and what are the edits that need to be made to the XML file?

More importantly, what is MindJet doing to resolve this issue permanently? Our entire company uses DropBox and it is critical tool enabling our collaboration, productivity and effectiveness. Thus we need to be able to share MindJet files via DropBox.

Your rapid reply is appreciated. A rapid resolution of the DropBox compatibility issues would be appreciated even more. Immediate resolution of the corrupted file issue (i.e., repairing the XML) would be fantastic.

Right now, we have stopped using MindJet. Critical information is not accessable and our productivity has been negatively impacted. Some on the team are so frustrated they are switching to SmartDraw.

2 years later I this problem is still prevalent. I switched from mindview to mindjet because of the phone app and desktop interface, but this seems to be a problem with mindjet that has not been resolved. I have sent countless emails without resolution. I really like mindjet and have used their software for years, but am really disapponited in the handling of this matter.
