Hey everyone,
I have huge mindmaps and I think I could decrease the number of papers by 60-70% if the page usage would be optimized to the whole paper size.
My idea: is there an opportunity that allows for "automatic optimization" of textbox length or so?
That means, when the textbox would go until the page ends, so maybe 1 long line and not 6 lines (which means having sort box width), this would be a first option.
Any other suggestions?

My first suggestion would be to name toics with only a few words that describe the subject. The rest of he text is placed normally in the topic text notes. Use Ctrl-T to open and close.
That saves a lot of space and makes your maps easier to read and use.

thank you for the fast reply. it is my thesis project and therefore the map is really big and i love it when using it via the computer. but printing must be some how optimized.
when using text notes, printing gets even more complicated to my mind.

Actually, the use of topic texts seems to be designed for writing your thesis.
It allows you to see and structure your thoughts and ideas in your map while adding all background info in text notes and hyperlinks or attachments.
You should try to export your map to MS Word and see how much it already does for you.
TIP: first just export. Once you have seen the result, you can change settings etc.
You can print from MSWord and that is best for Thesis purposes

actually i do write my thesis on word and i just use the most important parts in mindjet. i think the most appropriate way is to extend the text boxes automatically until the end of the page. is there an automated option for that?

Not that I know - or ever needed - ;-)
You may check if MAP for MindManager has an option for you.

Another option for you maybe to IMPORT your Word document in MIndManager.
See File=> Import
It will create your map automatically.
Ofcourse you need to use Headers and subheaders in youw Word documents

The MAP MindManager add-in does have an option to set a fixed topic width which might suit your purposes, though I agree with Ary's response. I do quite a lot of writing with MM which I use first to brainstorm and then to structure my work. I then do most of the actual writing in the topic notes.

advanced PDF print settings in Adobe Acrobat Pro for PostScript and non-PostScriptprinters PostScript options, output options, halftone screen frequency, Downloads all fonts and resources for a given page before the page prints, and then discards the fonts when the page has finished printing.
you can also check Ms One Note Support if you have any issue related to Microsoft support service
