Mindjet for iPad since the last update loses information, and has trouble checking in files when closing them

Hi Peter

Please  provide the following details:
1. iPad version
2. Was the Map created prior to updating Mindjet for iPad and/or updating to iOS 8?
3. Size of the Map?
4.  Does uninstalling and reinstalling the App resolve the issue?
5. If the issue is Map specific, please open a Support Ticket, attach a copy of the Map and put 'Attention Marian' in the Subject Line.

Hi, I have the latest iPadAir Retina. It happens both to New Maos and on old Maps, and on different sizes. There were problems before the last update too, but not so frequently. I have also tried to reinstall mindjet bit it makes no difference. The way it loses information now forces me to stop using mindjet and find other resources insted. I really hope that you can make it work more stable, when it works it is a really good product.

Hi Marian,
Is there a solution to this issue yet? Am also losing large parts of new maps no matter where I save them: Local, Dropbox or Mindjet Files.  Thanks

Hi Marian,

I am having the same problem, on both old and new maps saved locally. As a workaround I am currently having to close the map after each branch amendment, and then reopen it - but that's not very efficient. It happened after installing IOS8, I have not installed 8.1. Unfortunately it makes using this software very frustrating, and I will need to look at alternatives. Can you please advise progress on fixing this issue - I fear you will lose a lot of customers if it takes much longer.

Yeah, Same thing with me on iPad 3. I think it might have something to do with syncing the data. Been going on for months and been hoping for an update. Is Mindmanager even looking into this?

8.02 maps created both  before and after updating to ios8 small maps I am afraid to create anything large due to the loss of data that is very upsetting. Uinstalled and reinstalle the app. very time consuming to uninstall and reinstall all of my maps not map specific losing patience fast

I have a similar problem. In this case when working on a map while offline and so saving to local files. (The map was initiated as a local file.) The last 10 minutes of work does not get captured. While I am editing it all seems fine, but if the iPad is locked then the saved version is loaded which does not agree with the last version. I have resorted to taking a screenshot so that I can see what is missing. Perhaps if I email the map or send it to Dropbox it will work. There is no indication from the software that it hasn't saved the map. This is with iOS 8.1 and a small map.

Any idea when this will be fixed. It used to be a problem on Android too but seems to have been resolved there for me. Unfortunately I have to move to an iPad for work reasons.
Do you have any alternatives to Mindjet on ipad that works better ?

There is plenty of alternatives, but I love the layout of MindJet... Just searcg "mindmap" on the app store. The other free ones I have tested so far does not order the branches in the order you type them and larger maps become difficult. You can also only create 3 maps on some of the free ones... Let us know if you find something better...

Happens on iPad and iPhone version 3.6.2. New maps with only a few entities lose entities if you put the application into the background and the return to it it if you go to save the map.
