Mindjet for iPad lost last changes

I have been working with a map, a couple of hours ago; when I has closed the app and opened the file from the folder, the last changes has gone. The shapes were connected to photos from the camera roll. My iOS is 8.0, and I upgraded the app with the last release of September 19.

Unfortunately, I couldn't re-create this behavior. It was something randomly, but I think that there were some kind of delay on the process of "background autosave" and the action of close the app.

Hi Guillermo, 

To help with the investigation, it will be most appreciated if you can provide the following details: 

1. iPad version
2. Was the Map created prior to updating Mindjet for iPad and/or updating to iOS 8? 
3. Size of the Map? 
4.  Does uninstalling and reinstalling the App resolve the issue? 
5. If the issue is Map specific, please open a Support Ticket, attach a copy of the Map and put 'Attention Marian' in the Subject Line.

Now, let's begin with the details requested..

1. iPad version:
iPad 2 with 16 gb, recently upgraded to iOS 8.0.2

2. Was the Map created prior to updating Mindjet for iPad and/or updating to iOS 8? :
No the map was created after it has been updated to iOS 8

3. Size of the Map?
278 kb

4. Does uninstalling and reinstalling the App resolve the issue?
Yes, apparently this action fixes the problem. But I only made a few experiments (add some shape here and there, close the app, open the app, open the folder dialog, close using "x" icon) with some maps.

An observation: on MindJet for iPad, when you works with the " Choose Color dialog box" the "Cancel button" doesn't work. This behavior is not present on the iPhone version.

I don't really want to un-install the re-install the App, because I have a bunch of maps, on the local folder, but that's OK. I'll follow all your instructions, so tomorrow I'll send you the data requested.


One more thing:

I think that it will be very easy only complain about our problems with this great App, but in order to recognize your help, your organization, and the future improvements on MindJet, it will be correct if we, the users, pay a couple of dollars for this product. I know that in a "what-I-have-to-pay-for-free" community is a bad idea, but for me is an issue of justice.

I can understand your frustration because I do experiance the same issues as you do, but I think it does not have to do with traditional Chinese version it is simply that the iPad Mindjet version some times does not let you save the data anymore. It is still possible to work with the map but as soon as you try to save or send the map it does not let you do that anymore. I work around then by shooting screen shots. By this I can avoid total loss of data. second measure is as long the bug is not fixed I work with Mindmeister.com. This webbased tool (and App) let's you export the maps into Mindjet. Hope this helps a little bit in the meantime.

UNNACEPTABLE. paying for the app and expect basic functionality like saving my updates to work flawlessly - every single time- across all devices. . Imagine working for 2 hours mapping out a critical project only to find that only about 1% of changes saved. Imagine using mind jet after that with zero confidence that my updates will save. I want my money back. I want my 2 hours back. I want my ideas back. This sucks.

same experience on ipad and iphone, data loss. i pay for all apps an for using on windows pc too. i'm frustrated.
