Whats the problem with Mindjet11? Since two weeks the Software crashes nearly 3 times a day! Using the AutoCalculator everything broke down after every edit ... The program has many good ideas but it seems to be not stable enough for Windows 8. Maybe it would help to take care of the software engineering as you do for selling your product more expensive. Thanks

Hello and thank you for your fast reply!
Your customer support helped me to solve the problem (I post the reply as a text-attachment just here so that other customers get the solution too.
I was in an angry mood yesterday .. sorry for that - love your program ...

Here's the message from the customer support:
Thank you for contacting Mindjet Support.
This issue is definitely new and unknown at our end. A crash of Mindjet has mostly to do with an installed Windows component. One of the essential Microsoft components (MSXML, Visual C++ Redistributable, .NET Framework 4) that Mindjet relies on has become corrupted.

As workaround please reinstall Mindjet completely with the latest service pack of your product.

WORKAROUND: Reinstallation of Mindjet 11
1. Uninstall Mindjet via the Windows control panel: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

2. Download and execute the attached registry cleanup script (Unzip the file, double-click it and confirm dialogs):

3. If the install directory "C:\Program Files\Mindjet\MindManager" (default setup path) still exists, delete it manually. The path can vary if you have installed MindManager per custom setup.

4. Delete the user data:
- Windows 2000/XP: "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Mindjet\MindManager\"
- Windows Vista/Windows 7: "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Mindjet\Mindmanager\"

PLEASE NOTE: Local Settings and Application Data are hidden folders. By default hidden folders are not shown in Windows. To view hidden folders set the option "Show hidden files and folders" via Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options. Select the tab View. Scroll down the list to entry Hidden Files and Folders and activate Show hidden files and folders. Apply the setting and close the dialog.

5. Search the directory "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations" for any files named "Mindjet MindManager Pro .msi" and delete these files. Depending on your Operating system, the folder WINDOWS can also be named WINNT (Windows 2000 or Windows NT).

6. Uninstall all the versions of the following programs via Windows Control Panel:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.

- "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable",
- "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable"
- .Net Framework 4.0 (Client and Extended)

2. Please start the download of Mindjet Admin-Setup using the following link:

Mindjet 11 Admin:

3. Unzip this file and please reinstall the single components in the following order (to verify that also all required services are available in the right version):

- dotNetFx40_Full_setup.exe
- msxml6_x86.msi
- vcredist_2005_sp1_x86.exe
- vcredist_2010_sp1_x86.exe (install also vcredist_2010_sp1_x64.exe for a Windows 64-Bit OS)
- Mindjet Admin.msi (Mindjet 11 MSI Software Packet)
