I just received an email from Commission Junction, the company that manages the Mindjet affiliate program that the program has been "deactivated" and that while it is in this state the links on affiliate websites will no longer be recognising revenue generation from any traffic directed to the Mindjet website that results in a sale.
Is this a temporary situation or permanent?

UPDATE:
I received a very fast response from Anna Li who manages the program and the affiliate program is back up and running and was offline due to an acccidental de-activation.
Everything should be as normal now.

Hi everyone, sorry for any confusion. Our affiliate program was unintentionally deactivated for a few hours yesterday, but the issue's been resolved and our program was back up and running, as of 10AM PDT July 24, 2012. No accounts or publisher relationships should have been affected.
Sorry about that! If you have any concerns, please let me know.

Yes the links are dead on my site too.
I have emailed Anni Li to provide clarification on the issue but have not yet had a reply. I will share any info with the thread when I do.

There are some rumours that Mindjet Marketing USA, believe they can achieve better results without the support of their loyal trainers, bloggers and resellers. Can you think of another reason why?
It is fortunate that in Europe they still think different ;-)

Hi @Ary. Just to be 100% clear all of Mindjet Marketing (and the company) believe very strongly that our entire community is critical to our success. There is no truth to any rumors. - Jascha CMO, Mindjet @kaykas

Hello Jascha, That is very good to know.
Maybe it is a good suggestion to communicate your thoughts about the loyal affiliates, add-in developers, resellers and dedicated trainers directly with us. (email us privately if you want)

Hi Ary,
I'm super comfortable being open about our position and plans.
Our goal is to provide a long term and sustainable set of options for the community of Mindjet customers and partners to interact with each other, with us, and when/where appropriate make Mindjet a part of their livelihood financially. The short story is that we aren't perfect and are working to get better and there are a few bumps that we will have. That said, thank you for being a customer and active member of the community.
Being transparent also means that we'll change the cadence and paths for communication trying to meet you where you are. We are very happy with the activity in this Get Satisfaction community and want to be equally open on Twitter, Facebook, our Blogs as well as more traditional channels.
To the meat of your question:
We've decided to move away from CJ as an affiliate partner as part of an upgrade to our overall eCommerce systems. The transition is expected to be completed in the next couple of months. Some of the hiccups we are experiencing right now will go away and we expect a much better experience moving forward. We are also exploring referral programs to compliment the affilate options.
Further we'll be 're' formalizing our efforts around proactive outreach to the most active users in our community. We've not done a great job here and recognize that.
Lastly, i'd love to hear your thoughts. What can we do, should we stop doing, etc.? To make your life and relationship with Mindjet better?

Why didn't you tell your affiliates that you had closed the CJ account?
I have directed several people in the last few weeks to purchase via the affiliate link on blog only to be told by them it does not work.
Now its confirmed that it no longer exists I will wander off and remove it from my blog.

Hi Andrew,
My apologies for the delay in communication. As Jascha said, we've moved away from Commission Junction and are looking to improve our affiliate program with another platform. We're busy setting this up so we can have it up and running in the next few months.
In the meantime, I will really appreciate any feedback on how we can improve the affiliate program. Better communication is definitely something we're working on.
If you're still interested in being a part of our affiliate program and would like to be notified when the program is ready, just fill out this form:

Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna,
Thanks for responding to Andrews post/comment. I would suggest that the "communication" issue is looked at as a matter of priority as I received no response to my post above 7 days ago (a comment on Andrews) nor did I get anything other than a "Read Receipt" confirmation from the email I sent you directly that same day.
As a registered affiliate why were we not notified in advance of this decision so we could make sure that visitors to our website's are not inconvenienced by folowing dead links and we are not embarrassed for having non-functional content on our sites.
Also, of course we are still interested in being a part of the affiliate program....that's why we joined it in the first place and why we are upset by this lack of communication when services/programs are withdrawn. Why do we need to complete another form for this....?

I totally agree with Nigel (Olympic), Andrew and Ary.
Some weeks ago I applied to become an Affiliate. I never got an answer or reaction. I send mails and never got an answer.
This is not how I want to be treated as a future partner. If Mindjet means what Jascha wrote, then Mindjet should priotize their communication with partners much higher. The partners should be the first to know if things changes and not getting things to know by chance.
I am still interested in becomming an affiliate. You have my contact information and you are welcome to contact me when your new program is up and running.
I think Mindjet is turning things upside down in this case: You have to take action - not us!

Hi Necsus,
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive a response. Our program with Commission Junction ended last month, so we've been unable to log in or view any messages or applications since then.
When the new program launches, we'll definitely make an announcement on this thread and invite you all to join. If you would also like an email notification, then that is what this form is for:

Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna,
thank you for your reply.
Hmmm. that you can't log in to Commission Junction is one thing, but why didn't you answer on mails send to affiliate@mindjet.com or to you personally?
Here is how I would handle a situation like this:
Instead of asking my existing partners to fill out a form, I would take the list of my exisitng partners and add them to the new list of interested partners.
Then I would send out an mail to all my affiliates and apologize for what has happend and tell them about the future and about the timehorizon, so that they know what they can expect.
And then I would tell my community the same thing.

Anna, has there been any progress on this initiative?
I completed the online registration to be notified about changes but have heard nothing since August!!!
Is an affiliate program planned or has this been dropped?

Hi Nigel,
Yes, the affiliate program is still in the works. We're moving to a new eCommerce platform, and once it is launched, we will be able to set up the affiliate program.
We're hoping to launch soon (hopefully by March). Thanks for reaching out. I'll definitely keep you posted with any new updates.
Thanks,
Anna

At the time they just deactivated me. However, Going to the CJ site, Mindjet does not appear anymore.
MindManager does as a matter of fact -- under products.
