Mindjet and Outlook integration problems. Keeps crashing ...

Hi, I've become a bit slack on using Mindjet, but would like to get into it again. For me a key is it's integration with Outlook (I'm using 32 bit Outlook 2010 in Windows 8).

However, it keeps crashing. When I try to run a query, Mindjet closes (this happens with both MM 2012 and Mindjet (11). Anyone have any ideas.

For interest, I'm using hotmail and gmail as my accounts and don't have any pst files.

I've sent it to support and will await a response.

I received an auto reply which said if I wanted to update the request, I should reply to the auto email. I've done this, but it bounced, so here is the addition...

Just another piece of information; I don't always get it, but I tried to run the query again and received a C++ runtime error. Hope this helps...

I also get a crash if I try to send Mindjet tasks to Outlook (this happens whether I use 2012 or Mindjet (11)).

What sort of email account do you have?

Mindjet 11 and MM2012 both require Outlook 32bit and either an MS Exchange Server account or POP account. Neither will work with an IMAP account.

ah, I wonder if this is it.

I'm using both MM2012 (purchased) and Mindjet 11 (trial). I'm also using Outlook 2010 and trialing Outlook 2013.

I have 3 accounts - 2 x gmail accounts (these are IMAP) and another account which is a hotmail. In Outlook 2010 it's using the Hotmail Connector, and Outlook 2013 it's using "Exchange Activesync" (not sure whether that mimics exchange or not.

I've tried it with all variations but getting nowhere.

@David - somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any of these qualify as either a POP or Exchange Server account.

This issue is something MindJet really needs to look at, especially with the number of people signing up for IMAP email accounts and the emergence of Exchange activesync.

In the meantime you might want to add a POP email account to your collection - as I understand it (and again someone will tell me if I'm wrong) Mindjet can cope with Outlook running multiple email accounts, as long as one of them is a POP account.
