Mindjet Android syncing with Drop Box and Mindject Connect Account

Hi
My Android device uses Version 2.2. Previously it used to sync seamlessly with my drop box account. Now it's stopped. As advised I have even cleared all my cache. It's still not working.

As an alternative I even created a Mindject Connect account so I could have synchronisation on my web account and on my phone. Again my device is not synchronising files on my device with my cloud account on Mindjet connect.

I really loved the real time comfort I had with my device and drop box , but now other than copy and then pasting files (from my device to Connect and Dropbox account) , I have no choice.
As this is not real time sync. I risk loosing updated file versions .

Hi Junaid,

Are you actually able to login to the Dropbox and Connect accounts, but synching fails? Or can you just not login at all?

If you are able to login successfully, have you attempted to use the Cache offline feature? If not, it may help with this problem--please let me know if you have more questions, or if this resolves it. Thanks.

Hi Andy,
I am extremely grateful for your response.
When I open the App on my Android phone , on the home screen there are three tabs; Device, Junaid(Mindjet Connect) and DropBox.

The Device tab shows all the files I had created on my phone, Drop Box shows all the files I had synced about three months ago. Connect tab shows no files at all (I created this account some time ago)

In Settings - Other-I have checked the option " save files to dropbox"

On Pressing Sync Now , I get the in process circles but files don't sync in the Connect and Dropbox tabs.

As for logging in , I don't know if I have been logged in via the Mindjet app, but I can certainly log into Dropbox , using its own app on my phone.

I am not sure if I am logged in via Mindjet , but in settings-storage , when I touch " Log out of Mindjet Connect" I do get a warning " Are you sure you want to sign out from this device?

Lastly I don't get the option of "Cache offline" when I touch on any of my files on the Dropbox or Device tab.

Thanks, Junaid--the more detail, the better. One thing I think I didn't make clear--the 'Cache offline' feature is available at the folder level. Navigate to the Dropbox view in the file navigation, tap on the collapse/expand element in the bottom right of the folder you want to cache, and select 'Cache offline', then go into that folder. The maps you work with in that folder will subsequently synch up. Let us know if that much works for you. Thanks.

Once again thanks for the impressive response time , really appreciate it!
However, with a a heavy heart , seems its not working.
Ideally I would be working on my device (offine) and then synch it with dropbox.
But I still gave it a shot.Here's what I did:
I went to the Dropbox tap and went to the Mindjet folder (which previous Mindjet version made on Dropbox) and accessed the "Cache Offline " activated it. I opened the file from Dropbox made amendments to a file and even made a copy of an existing file in the Dropbox folder. I pressed Synch Now , but the device tap files did not reflect the changes and the Copy was not created on the device tap.

I did the same with a file on my device(made changes), and even made a copy . I pressed Synch now , but this effort was not replicated on the Drop Box Tap.

Lastly, what about my connect account? Nothing is sycnhing there either... I would be grateful if I can get assistance there as well. All I need is real time synching as was previously possible. Now I can only cut and paste within taps.

I got similar problem till last version of Minjet on Android.
I'm working on Android (4.0.3) Tablette ACER A510 with Dropbox account perfectly functional.
I can not find the sync process to have the file I create on Mindjet on my dropbox account.
I created a Mindjet Connect account, and now the new files are on the net but if I try to download from Mindjet I can not open it with XMind as I used to do.
Dropbox is perfect as cloud system, but I can not find parameter to reconnect to it as you can see in capture.

I'm working my map on PC, MAC and Android, so I need a very portable tool.

If you go to Settings (Parametres)>Storage>Other, you will find the Dropbox option. Tap on the checkbox and you should be able to connect w/Dropbox. I do wonder if you were connected to Dropbox when you updated the app--it should not have disrupted your connection to Dropbox in this case.

Andy in response to your latest reply ... I have checked the dropbox option in the settings -- others of my Android App on the phone.
I was not connected to dropbox from my phone app when I updated the latest version of Mindjet.

Shamantao, I am updated to the latest version but Mindjet does not sync with both my connection and dropbox account.

The problem is not only with dropbox but Connection as well.
I love this App , and all my progress has been disrupted due this sync. Problem

Thank you for your answers.
I found the options in "Other" ("autre" en fran├žais)
And the connection with dropbox work fine, I disconnect MindJet Account and only tab appear.
it's perfect.

Does your dropbox account work fine ?
I use it to upload directly the picture I take and it works almost instantly did you try this functionality ? if it's not working maybe you got problem with your dropbox account (drive full)...

Hello guys I've changed my android phone from HTC desire S to Nexus S and I've upgraded to jelly bean as well. But lo and and behold tried all suggestions mentioned above to no avail.
Drop box does not sync and will somebody tell me if mindjet device syncs with the connect account.

Hi Junaid,

Mindjet for Android should definitely be synching with Connect--it follows the checkin/out and file conflict resolution logic of the Web version of Connect. But of course it should also be synching with your Dropbox account. Try as we may, we cannot reproduce the issue you (and to be fair, a couple of other users) are seeing with Dropbox.
