Mindjet cloud storage connection problem - iPAD

Hi, I have had this problem for a couple of days now. I guess this might have to do with the latest update (3.1) which I have installed. I can still access the local files and dropbox but not the mindjet cloud storage. I tried accessing the files directly using the internet access but the file which I needed was far behind the version which I had been working on lately.

Not nice.

Hi, a further note on this issue. I logged out from my Mindjet account and then in again: now I can see the files but they do not open.

Well, got it connected after resetting the iPAD. However, all the changes to the file I had been working on were lost. Thanks a bunch. I think Mindjet has potential to be a great tool but not with this kind of reliability.

Sorry to hear about this, Harri--when you write that you reset the iPad, do you mean you reinstalled the Mindjet app, or that you restored your iPad from a previous backup?

Also, have you tried to login to the Mindjet web app, to see if you have the same results with regard to the map in question?

Hi Andy, by iPAD reset I mean the following: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. I also logged out from the Mindjet cloud storage. Before logging out Mindjet warned about loosing the unsynchronised changes. However, as the main copy of the map was on the Mindjet cloud storage which I could not open, there was no way for me to do the synch suggested by the app.

I did login to the Mindjet web app (the map available there was far behind the version I had been working on using the iPAD app.

I wonder if this is what happened: there were synch problems between the cloud storage (main copy) and Mindjet app local copy of the file. I then updated the app as there was a new version available. After updating the app, the synch problems could no longer be solved by the app and Mindjet cloud storage became unavailable. This is just my guesswork.

I think the mechanism for resolving synch problems should be improved on the iPAD app. Sometimes the app asks which copy to keep but this seems to happen very randomly. I think I will from now on only store the main copies of files locally and not in the cloud storage.

Andy, I may have an issue that is related to what Harri has described. I created a map on my laptop and saved it to the Mindjet cloud in a folder. After installing the Mindjet of iPad app, I was able to open, view, and close the file. After a couple of rounds of doing that, I am now unable to open that file. Starting from the list of storage options (Mindjet Files, Dropbox, Box) on the iPad app I can drill down to the account and to the directory of folders. As soon as I click on the folder that contains the map I only get the spinning wheel. Backing out and trying another folder I can access the maps therein.

I have tried deleting the app from the iPad and reloading it. Again, it works for a couple of rounds to get to that map, but then will get hung up with the spinning wheel.

Using the Mindjet for iPhone app I can drill down and use the map that will not open in the Mindjet for iPad app; I can also access the map from the web and Mindjet on the laptop.

Would it help if your engineers compared the sync logic between Mindjet for iPad and iPhone?
