Mindjet Connect Loses Images

I created a map in MM2012, and pasted some images into topics. When I uploaded the map to Connect (Free Edition), I noticed that some of the images had been replaced by a rectangle with a red cross in it.

I opened a ticket with Mindjet Support, and this was the reply:

"Thank you for contacting Mindjet Support. Checking with our Quality Assurance team they informed me that certain images will not carry over into Connect from the desktop. If you could please send in your map and we can test this further."

Obviously this is a known issue, so I was surprised not to find any mention of it in this forum. Has anyone else come across this problem?

I have just started using mindjet and am having the same problem as above in that the images in the map are not transferring to connect

Is there a solution yet?

What file types are these images? .jpeg, .bmp, etc? Thank you!
