Mindjet Desktop App (Windows 8) opens local cached version and not online version

I'm having continual trouble with online files when using my Desktop Mindjet application. It appears that the desktop application opens a cached version on my computer rather than the online file on which I click. And so, I get an outdate version of the file. I've had this problem before but it is chronic, and I can't get to my online version at all.

First, how can I find the cached version on my computer? Second, how can I make sure this doesn't happen again?

Update: I've discovered the location of cached and checked-out files, and have deleted them. Now my online file actually opens. And so, the remaining question is, How can I avoid having to fix this manually?

I use my maps on several different mobile devices and tablets, and I'm pretty careful to close them down when not using them, so that they will sync. I'm having the most trouble on my desktop Mindjet, which I find surprising (and disappointing). Is there a solution?

Hi Joe. I have been speaking with our product team regarding your question. How exactly are your documents being opened and changed on the other devices that you are using?

Hello, I responded via email yesterday but notice that the reply email address may not accept replies. Here's what I typically do: on my Kindle Fire HD, using the Mindjet Android App, I open an online map and edit it. Then, I close the map and actively watch it sync (to confirm that the changed data is sent to the online file.

On my iPhone, I do essentially the same: I open the map, make changes, and then close it by returning to my "My Accounts" level on the iPhone app.

I have my Mindjet desktop (PC) app installed on two computers. Today, I opened an online map on both desktops (at different times) and got the current version--i.e., I did not get the cached, old version. And so, at least for now, things are working as they should. My principal concern is that I not have to worry about this going forward!

I love using Mindjet, and I use it all the time.
