Mindjet for iPad on iOS 6 don't save my changes!

I've been using mindjet for iPad for so long and it is always satisfying until I updated to iOS 6 the other day. It can't save my changes I made on the maps completely, and just a tiny part is saved.

The other day as usual I made some changes on my existing map, adding some and modifying some. It took me a really long time to finish. Later I opened this map again and I was so surprised to see a large part of my changes isn't saved! I felt like a tremendous hit on my head! You know how bad I felt.

I even made more tests, same problem comes again and again though not continuously. Even at one time after I typed in some words and then tap the white area to finish typing and the words suddenly turns into a broken page indicating that words are lost.

The only thing I want is that you can fix this UNBELIEVABLE bug as soon as possible. After using mindjet for so long, I really can't adapt to other mind managing apps.

Thank you.

You can try either force quitting the app and restarting, to see if that helps, or deleting the app altogether (be sure to copy any local files to Dropboz before you do this, since deletion of the app also deletes any local files), and reinstalling it.

The last resort would be to restore back to the iOS 5 version of your iPad--we will be updating our app in October, and cannot assure compatibility with iOS 6 until then. I tend to recommend waiting on installing the latest version of iOS (or Android for that matter), since the first release of any new version tends to be ironing out the wrinkles. Hope this helps

Hi, it's me again, after several updates of Mindjet, it worked and it was not losing data any more until today I updated to the newest version of Mindjet for iPad. It again loses data. I am sad now because my note I made in it was just lost. Please fix it and a big thank you:) Happy Thanks Giving.

Hi Xiao,

I am unable to reproduce the error you're experiencing with the steps you logged in the AppStore--the content updates correctly for me, regardless of whether I store the file locally or on the cloud. The only difference in our systems is that I'm on iOS 6.0

I think it may depend on the content of the map--I am assuming that when you refer to '10 blocks' you mean 10 topics. I added 100s of topics to an already large map, with priority markers, images, etc. and did not experience any data loss. At this point, we would need to know more details about your workflow--for example:

•how do you save a map--by closing the map and synching right away, or navigating to a different map and opening that
•are you inputting Simplified Chinese characters into your topics, or English?
•does this issue occur regardless of whether you store the file locally or on the cloud?

Dear Andy,

-> I always close the map before opening another one.
-> When doing the test I mentioned in App Store, I was inputting English. But that map contains a few topics in Simplified Chinese.
-> I only save my maps to the local root folder. I just copy then to dropbox when needed. But this data losing issue occurs locally.

Furthermore, maybe I should tell you about how I use mindjet which may help you find the error:

For most of the time, I use Mindjet to take notes when reading papers or reviewing lectures. I use GoodReader to read papers and when I need to take a note down, I just swip left or right to switch to Mindjet and add topics. When finished, I swipe back to GoodReader and continue reading the paper. When all finished, I switch to Mindjet and click the cross sign on the top of the screen to close the map. I seldom use markers or images but I often change the fill color of a topic.

Luckily the Mindjet for iPad in my computer haven't been updated to 3.1 and it's still the 3.0 version. I deleted the one on my iPad and installed the one of 3.0 version. That one works and won't lose data. So now I can use it and wait for your next update.

Thank you again Andy and hope you can finally find the bug :)
