We are using Mindjet (software version) on a Mac, and the application keeps crashing. We had to rewrite missing content several times each time Mindjet closed unexpectedly. This problem is happening several times everyday during our meetings.

Hello Joe,
Is there any other details you can give us about this issue?  Do you know what series of actions you are doing in the application that lead up to the crash?  Is it a particular map that is always open when the crash occurs or are there several different maps this is happening with?  What OS version and version of MindManager are you using?

Since the problem seem to occur in meetings, maybe this is related to a dual screen set-up ?

I've had the same problem last week during my presentation in a Mindjet webinar (yes...) where I was presenting in dual screen mode (Parallels was running MindManager for Windows in my 2nd screen and the Mac version was running on my laptop's screen for note-taking).

Here's a screenshot of the error message:

Can a rep please post a link for a bug fix....not projecting this onto screens, just having a map open and adding content, it will crash and show me  a crash report. I didnt save for 15 minutes and work is lost.

Hi Lindsey,

Please contact our Support Team by logging a case at www.mindjet.com/contactus

Our Technicians will walk you through the process of removing the application, cleaning up the 'Plists' and re-installing.

It did crash today during the meeting, it was when I went to copy and paste some sub topics from one parent topic to another separate one, luckily I was hitting save after every action so I wouldn't lose work.

Could the work around also be posted here so all Mac users can profit from this work around?

HI Mathieu,

The solution entails trashing MindManager, deleting all of the preference list files and then installing the application. We have a DMG file that will 'Zap' the preference files instead  of having to delete them manually but I cannot post the file publicly.

I probably need this fix too as I am presenting in a few hours, and will probably continue doing that

I was buying Mindmanager at the time and I raised a case and no one got back to me. It was depressing as I think the product is great, but the support for this issue was terrible. I even told them I would refuse to pay until sorted.
Ended up having to buy a competitor product which I honestly feel is 2nd best to a work mindmanager.

I'm having the same problem with Mindjet crashing on my Mac (OS 10.10 Yosemite). I'm testing out the software for our company to use. I've had it crash at least a dozen times and I'm ready to leave it for another product.

There have been 2 main cases when it crashes:

1) Whenever I try and highlight many items at the same time and make a change
2) Whenever I try to share the file with anyone else.

I've also just had it crash while doing simple tasks such as adding a new topic.

I am looking to make a decision on which software to use for our company in the next day, so any help now would be greatly appreciated.

David

Hi David,

We are working on releasing an update for full compatibility with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. We are aware the issues you have listed and they should be addressed in the next update.

Any updates on this? Also, can yo provide a link to the DMG software that completely unistalls/zaps traces of Mindjet?
