Mindjet not working with Dropbox anymore

Mindjet and Dropbox don't seem to be talking to each other anymore on android. Files saved in Dropbox now have an error when opening that there is no app to open these files. Also the list of files in the Dropbox tab of Mindjet searches endlessly with nothing loading. I'm running Android 2.3.6 on a galaxy note. Both Dropbox and Mindjet are the latest version.

We have not seen this issue in our testing of our Dropbox integration--the symptom you're describing sounds like a connectivity issue. Are you working offline? If you have elected to use the Cache Offline feature for one or many of your Dropbox directories, you may want to go to Settings and enable the 'WiFi Sync' feature.

And are you saying that when you attempt to launch a Mindjet map from within the Dropbox app the phone is unable to detect that Mindjet is installed? This too is something we have not encountered yet. Does this also occur if you email a map to yourself and try to launch from the attachment?

If the above measure doesn't help, you might want to try:

1) Go to Settings>Storage>Other and disable Dropbox, then enable it again
2) Failing that, go into your Android Settings>Applications>Manage Applications and clear out your cache and data, which will cause a Force quit and start you with a clean slate.

Thanks,

I have a similar problem regarding syncing with Dropbox after the update version. The new file created can only be saved in device column and cannot be saved in Dropbox folders. I have to copy the file from the device folder then paste it into the dropbox folder. This is a downgrade from the previous version.

Have you think of ways to fix this?
I am using Samsung Note Android 2.3.6

Thanks

Found a solution. I uninstalled both apps then reinstalled Dropbox and signed in. Then reinstalled Mindjet, logged in, and connected the account to Dropbox.

Correction, only a partial solution. I can now open Dropbox files from within Mindjet, but not from within Dropbox. Still has the 'no app to open this file' error.

Tried the method but still failed.
I just want to save the file automatically in a folder to which dropbox can automatically update.

I'm wondering if there isn't some incompatibilty with 2.3.6, since that's the commonality amongst the issue being reported, and we are unable to repro this on 2.3.4, 3.2, 4.0. I will ask our QE team to investigate--thanks for your patience.

I'm using 2.3.4 on a Motorola Droid Pro and having the same problem (mentioned in my question about redundancy of Dropbox vs Connect).

Update: We are currently working on this issue--specifically, on the Dropbox app notrecognizing MJ4A as installed, and hope to have an update out soon. We have not yet had success in reproducing the issue some users have reported of not being able to see their Dropbox accounts within MJ4A.

I'm not sure if this is related or a separate issue, but when I use the Dropbox app on my phone, while I can open the folder (Applications/Mindjet) which Mindjet created there when I exported the first file and I can see all of the maps I've uploaded from my phone and my laptop, when I try to open a map (regardless of Mindjet or Freemind format) the Dropbox app tells me that my phone doesn't have an app which can view that file type. I'm starting to suspect that the trouble is with Dropbox, not with Mindjet.
