In MindManager 12 for Mac, Smart Rule "Track Progress" effect does not allow dynamic progress changes to the icon once the task is created.

I haven't used the Mac version, but it's operating exactly how it would work in MM2019 for Windows.

When SmartRules are turned on and their trigger criteria are met, the effect will be applied and can't be overridden directly. So in this case if, say, the trigger was a green flag and the effect was to apply a 25% progress icon to the topic, you would not be able to change this progress level until the rule is turned off or the criteria removed. If you do turn off the rule or remove the green flag you can change the progress icon, but turn the rule back on and add the green flag and the progress icon will revert to 25%

Thanks Alex, and respectfully you're partially correct.  After reading your reply I went back to look at the rule in edit mode and found a checkbox I'd initially missed (Allow Manual Override for Effects).  If not checked, then your reply is correct.  If checked, then dynamic changes are possible.  Thanks again for your response. Kind Regards, Oliver.
