Hi,

I have a problem with Mindmanager 15 on Windows XP. When you are trying to start the program it loads up to the first screen then after around 10-15 sec it chrashes. There is no error message that comes up and you can't press anything when it loads. The mouse courser changes to a hourglass when mindmanager 15 loads.

Hi Carl

Looks like XP is not a supported operating system for MindManager 15.

System Requirements for MindManager 15

Supported Operating Systems:

  • Microsoft® Windows® 8 and 8.1, 32-bit and 64-bit

  • Microsoft® Windows® 7 32-bit and 64-bit (includes Service Pack 1 released in Feb, 2011)

Confusing! This page says that 14 and 15 support Windows XP

Hi Andrew

Mindmanager 15 is working on XP on other computers.
I have also tried to install MindManager 14 on the same computer but I have the exact problem as with Mindmanager 15.

You could review items in the Knowledge Base that mention XP
http://kb.mindjet.com/pkb_Home?q=xp&l=en_US&c=Knowledge_Categories%3ADesktop_Windows

Is .NET up to date?  For 14 on XP you need Microsoft .NET 4.0 or higher

SInce MM 14 and MM 15 are working on other XP computers, The solution lies in the exact configuration differences of XP.

Check that and take care the installations do not differ anymore.
It may be some work to get the systems exactly the same.

Hi ARY,

That would be a good solution but it's not optional due to that I don't have access to the other computers anymore.

Try starting MindManager with nothing else running.
How much hardware RAM do you have?
Is the Virtual Memory set up appropriately?
Which XP Service Pack?

The computer have Service Pack 3.
Is the same RAM as the other computers that have MindManager 15 working.
I have also tried starting MindManager with nothing else running.
The Virtual Memory is also correctly configured.

It is clear now... You have a problem with your XP installation. Your problem has nothing to do with MindManager
My suggestion is to do a CLEAN install of XP and  next install MindManager 15 again toreap the benefits.
