MindManager 9.5 for Mac won't allow a sequence of upper case letters in central topic

I'm trying to type an abbreviation in the central topic and MindManager 9.5 for Mac automatically changes it so the first character is an upper case letter and subsequent letters are lower case.

For example, the abbreviation is IKBBI and MindManager changes it to Ikbbi. Why won't it allow upper case letters in the central topic?

Hello Damon

I am not familiar with MindManager for Mac, but on MindManager 9 for Windows there is a setting in the MindManager options on the Spelling page to "Ignore unusual mixture of upper and lower case". Maybe there is a similar option in MindManager for Mac?

Hello Nick,

Thanks for your help. I've looked at the Spelling section on the Mac and there's no command for this but thanks for the pointer. This only happens with central topics, it doesn't happen with branches or notes so I'm unsure what causes this.

Best regards,

Damon Casey

Another idea... in MM for Windows, you can right-click on a topic and choose Font settings, where there is also a tab for various text & capitalisation options. Do you have the same on the Mac?
Sorry for the indirect info - someone who knows the Mac version inside out would be able to answer this quickly.

Thanks again Nick, unfortunately there's no such setting on the Mac version.

MindManager 9.5 seems to have another, bit of a similar problem which irritates me a lot. I use both MM2012 and MM9-Mac and have created a nice map theme in the former that makes the mindmaps look more like actual mindmaps. Since the update MM9-Mac automatically forces the capitalization of every topic in the 'Book title style (capitalize first letter of each word)' while the theme is actually set to 'Scentence style (capitalize first letter of text)'. Kind of frustrating as setting the capitalization on MM9-Mac doesn't override this 'bug'.
