Mindmanager pen mode freezes after short use

I use occasionally pen tablet while working and I think the possbility sketch in Mindmanager is fabulous. Reasently I have experienced odd hick ups using my Wacom Intuos 3.

Things go fine for few minutes e.g. I write stuff with pen and use Ink to text in between. Save few times. Now for unknown reason pen suddenly stops working so that cursor stops responding.

Pen tablet still works fine with other programs after Mindmanager stops working (e.g. photoshop) and then again Mindmanager map seems to work ok if I revert back to using mouse.

I use Mindmanager 9.2.504 in 64-bit Win7 installed in high performance laptop. Wacom driver version is 6.1.6-7.
Graphics are Nvidia QuadroFX 880M, driver v. 268.25

Any help highly appriciated.

Br,

Timo

I have had this experience with MindManager Ink Mode in the past on my Tablet PC though not recently. My memory says it was a MindManager resource problem. Try having less maps open.

I use the Wacom ISD Tablet driver 7.0.1.8 but this may not be compatible with Intuous 3. Also the Wacom Tablet drivers have been disturbed by Windows updates. I find an uninstall and reinstall helps the Wacom driver work.

Thanks for reply. I doubt it is matter of resources, since I use quite efficient laptop used for cad/3D-modeling (64-bit / 8 GB memory / Intel Core i7 Q820) and I usually don't have more than 1 or 2 maps open simultaneously. If lack of resources would be the problem Mindjet should seriously consider the program code efficiency...;)

The Wacom driver tip is worth trying. Thanks.

Timo
