I run MindManager 17.1.178 on Windows 10 Pro since two weeks. Everything worked fine until during this morning I suddenly can not Access my mindmaps any more. They do just not react if I try to mark a branch or whatever. Strange enough the menu bar seems to work partially - For example if I say "add new branch" this works - just somewhere. Help please!?

Strange...
What has changed to your Windows10Pro installation overnight? Security updates?
You may try a -repair- using the configuration options.

I just opened my application and I was able to build a map and operate it.
I do know I had some problems with the update to 17.1.178. You may want to run a repair of the application.
Control Panel |Unintstall or Change program | Click on Mindjet Manager 2017 and select Repair.
The alternative is to go the Mindjet Website and down a full copy of the program re-install.
That should do the trick.

Ok, sorry to hear that did not work.
One more test. If you create a new map, add branches, close the program and open the program.
Can you edit the new map?

That tells me it is something to do with the map ( or is it more than one map) in question.
Can you, do a save as and save the "problem map" with a new name. Test to see if the renamed map will open and if it is workable.
See if that allows you to edit the map with a new name.

Jerry, I found a Workaround due to your Input: I did Export opd maps into an opml file and then re-Import it. These were files created on an older Version of the program on my former Laptop. After re-importing the opml file it works and I am able to edit the file. Just loosing all the formatting.

Excellent.
This is helpful for the rest of us who may have old maps and want to edit them in Mindjet 2017.
Have a super day.

Just one more note: I looked into my file "own maps" and detected all the files with an ending ".lock". No clue where that came from! I deleted These files and: the old files work!!??
Thanks however for your great help
