Missing heading numbers after importing from Word into Mindmanager

Win 10, Word 2019

The heading numbers are auto-generated by Word's multilevel lists.

After press "send to mindmanager" button on word, the headings text at all levels are created in MM as map, that's good.

But the bad thing is all the heading numbers are missing.

Did I do something wrong?
If not, any workaround?

As you suggest in your question, the heading numbers in Word are linked to Word's heading styles; based on the numbering format you choose they are automatically generated within the program.

When a Word document is imported or part of it is sent to MindManager, the latter program reads the heading styles and arranges the map hierarchy accordingly. The heading numbers themselves aren't imported. All you have to do however is apply MindManager's own topic numbering system, which you can set to replicate most of the heading numbering options available in Word.
