On one of my colleagues lap top , we keep getting errors when using MM - and then it crashes. We've just reinstalled MM and still get the same errors. This is a new lap top , running windows 7, with all updates installed. How can I get to the bottom of this as it is making MM unusable.
Are there any clues in the error message that might say where the errors are coming from? I saw MM2012 instabilities on one installation, and disabled the Explorer for Sharepoint add-in under File > Options > Addins, which avoided the issue. It is not a universal problem, though.
This looks like either a corrupt MindManager file, or a problem with the module that handles MindManager maps. Is MindManager set to open a specific file on startup, or open a new map on start? Does the crash occur when accessing a particular map? Does it make a difference if MindManager is the only application to run after a reboot?
If it is related to a particular map that MindManager opens on start-up, then you might be able to recover it with a zip archive repair tool.
Otherwise it may be best to open a support ticket with Mindjet in case they have a known solution for this.
