The basic question to investigate if something like this happens is.... What did I change last before the behavior started?

In your case you have updated your OS and that caused the funny behavior. High Sierra has a lot of improvements that needs application software updates as well.

I assume you use MIndManager for MAC ??

If you upgrade to MM  vs10 for MAC, the problem should have gone away.

Why not install a free trial version  of the latest MIndManager for Mac and see if my suggestion is right?

If so. Purchase the latest version. ( I you are on MM for MAC vs 8 or 9 you were eligible for an upgrade price ;-)

Unfortunately, the only way to have MindManager support newer OS'es is to upgrade your MindManager license to version 10.5 as support for MindManager 7 for Mac ended in 2012: https://www.mindjet.com/support-info/product-lifecycle-policy/
