Move topic to tagged topic

I keep lists of projects with 3 priorities; daily I review the lists to see if anything needs to move from P3 to P1 or such.

I'd like to tag, say, P1 as the target, then review the P3 list - selecting a topic then pressing, say, F8, would move the selected topic into P1 as if I'd copy & pasted it. Would vastly speed up an error-prone process of selecting ~20 items from the 500 in the P3 list and cutting & pasting into P1.  One slip as I'm selecting and I'll move everything off the parent topic, or worse lose them entirely during the cut & paste sometimes.

MindManager 18 has a "Priority view" where you can view topics in priority columns and move them between columns, automatically changing their priority.

Yes - it sounds like you have set your map up so you can do manually what MM18's Priority View does on the fly, regardless of the underlying structure of the map.

This is a great feature and there are a number of other compelling reasons to upgrade to MM18, but if you either don't want to upgrade or it is important that the map structure represents the priority lists there is a workaround to simplify the process of changing the location (and therefore the priority) of a group of topics:

1. Select a temporary flag or other icon and apply this as your review the topics in the P2 and P3 lists to those topics you want to promote to the P1 list.

2. Apply a filter to select the topics to which you've added the flag. You can do this with a Power Filter but the better way is to use the Power Select feature (to access this add the Select button to the Quick Access Toolbar or access it under Select on the Advanced- Edit Topics tab on the ribbon). This approach has the advantage that while the relevant topics are highlighted the rest of the map is still visible.

3. Cut these selected topics and then paste them in the P1 list. If you then click on the flag or icon you used to identify these topics in the Map Index it should disappear from the promoted topics.
